Sharp cuts for fine tuning: Schwalbe presented the first tread cutter for MTB tires at the opening round of the MTB World Cup in Lourdes, France, April 7th to 10th. The tongs, with their exact tread-height adjustment function, allow precise shortening of the tire lugs.
"Although we offer a suitable tread for every type of terrain, sometimes unpredictable trail conditions require a unique tread to find the perfect balance of rolling and grip", says Michael Kull from Schwalbe Marketing and Race Support. "With the tread cutter, riders can adapt the tire tread even more perfectly to the respective situation." For example, the sturdy center lugs of our mud-terrain tire, Dirty Dan, can be shortened for easier rolling. Or, as with Hans Dampf, the transition lugs in the shoulder area can be trimmed, giving more free space, and making the tread more aggressive. Lugs that have been worn "round" can have a straight edge again. Kull: "This is the first tread cutter developed specifically for MTB tires. With it, you can cut the lugs off with a smooth edge and – thanks to the cutting-height adjustment – to your exact required height."
Multi tool with valve functions. Is it necessary? Multi tools are available ten to the dozen. Why then must Schwalbe offer such a thing? Because we wanted to have a handy tool in the pocket that integrates the functions for valve inserts (SV and AV) and valve extensions. Especially in times of tubeless, puncture protection liquids and screw on air pumps there is more and more of a need to take out or tighten a valve insert.
3, 4, 5, 6, 8 mm hex T25 Torx, slotted screwdriver, SV valve insert, valve extension SV, AV valve core.
Tire changing made easy! The special shape of the lever reduces the danger of the tube being pinched during installation. When removing a tire, the lever can be snapped onto the spoke - leaving hands free for the second lever. The high-quality plastic is virtually unbreakable. Levers can be clipped together for easy storage. 3 piece set The blue color is a trademark of Park Tool for bicycle tools and is used under license.

Special assembly liquid for bicycle tires. A practical sponge applicator allows the liquid to be applied to the tire bead very simply - without smudging fingers. When inflating, the tire bead slides easily into the correct position on the rim. The liquid evaporates completely after about 10 minutes!
The digital pressure gauge is very precise, measuring pressures up to 11 bar and is suitable for both Auto and Presta valves. It will also function with Schwalbe's "classic" bicycle valve. Tip: Test tire pressures at least once per month with a pressure gauge. Testing by thumb is completely unreliable as with just half of the required pressure the tire will feel hard. Insufficient air pressure is the most common bicycle problem that results in dramatically increased rolling resistance and premature tire wear.
