Marathon Winter HS 396
For a safer journey. You have full control on icy roads with the Marathon Winter. Even in tight bends and under violent braking everything remains under control. The spikes work best on ice when running at minimum pressure, while at maximum pressure the tires can be ridden on ice-free roads with minimal road noise.
In order to ensure that spikes are permanently fixed, tires should be run in for about 25 miles (40km) on asphalt, while avoiding any fast acceleration or heavy braking.

Gotta Love them Marathon Winter.
Placed an on-line order for a pair of Marathon Winter for my Dahon Mu P8 folding bike. Delivery via USPS/Canada Post was lightning fast. The tires (size 20 X 1.6) are a perfect fit with the mud guards. Took them out on my daily bike commute and stud break-in run on hard pavement and loved how they do not induce a significant road friction increase. Noise level was also lower than expected. Really looking forward to my first Winter of bike commuting.
