Nobby Nic HS 411

Allgrounder! Now in a class of its own. Because we improved, “by evolution”, our all around, beloved MTB, tire test winner of many years. Here are the details:

1. Phase shifted blocks. A variation in the interblock space has resulted in a profile cluster, which very positively
   affects grip.
2. U-Blocks. The center blocks are non-directional. The tire is fitted to the rear wheel in same direction as the front
wheel. So the U-blocks can act optimally against the cornering forces on both wheels.
3. Cut resistance. The rubber tread compound migrates into the sidewalls. The shoulder area is thus better
   protected against cuts.
4. Durability. Larger blocks increase the lifespan.
5. Triple Nano-Compound. Naturally with our best rubber mixture for top performance grip and rolling resistance.

Many detailed optimizations add up to a big difference:
15% less rolling resistance than the former Nobby Nic.
30 g weight saving. With its unbelievable power the new
Nobby Nic is the true Allgrounder.

When will the NN 26 x 2.35 be available?

Nobby Nic

When will you have more 26 X 2.25 TL, Snakeskin, Pace Star Compound in stock??

can I use a tube with a TL

can I use a tube with a TL tire?

TL Ready

What does TL Ready stand for?

Tubeless Ready

TL Ready stands for "Tubeless Ready".

Schwalbe Tubeless Ready tires have a specifically shaped and coated tire bead to make installation in a "tubeless" application more air tight at the bead lock and gives a safer, stronger lock onto the rim. A sealant is still required to seal and airtight the sidewalls and tread area of the casing, as the TL Ready tires still use a regular tire carcass, and are not airtight.

29 x 2.25 eta?

Can you tell me when these will be available? Thx

29 x 2.35 eta?

Any idea as to when the 29 x 2.35 Nobby Nic's will be available?

650B Please!

Would really like to see this in a 650B x 2.25 fitment!

Nobby nic

When will the 29er nobby nic's be available in the USA again??? I'm bitting on the bit to get a pair. Thanks

way she goes

i ride a yeti fro on 2.25 nicks and to be honest, there is nothing even close, why doesn't anybody out there know this buddy? In lose sandy pikes peak gravel, yes i live in colorado these ride nice basically float on the top of the sand. Also we have lots of large death cookies, like in the Flintstones? No snake bites.

rocko

Sticky rubber

How about the Nobby Nic in sticky rubber? Would be a much better wet weather tire, especially on roots and rocks.

29 X 2.4 version please

Here is a vote for a 29 X 2.4 version, with Snakeskin. Or a Racing Ralph in 29 X 2.4 with a beefier sidewall.

You only have one 2.4" 29er tire, but it is racing specific and not very useable for the casual rider.

Great tire

Just wanted to say thanks for this tire. Not sure how you made such an aggressive tire so light, durable and efficient.....must be magic German rubber. Danke.

Bigger UST

The previous commenter is right.

A 2.4 tubeless Nobby Nic (which is really a 2.3) would wreak havoc in the market.
Basically it would destroy any competition. Period.

I would order a whole bunch NOW if I knew they were coming...

Cheers!
Chris, Calgary - CANADA

NN 29er?

any plans on producing a Nobby Nic 29er tyre?

2.4's may be too large for many frames on the rear (although great on the front) so 2.25 (57mm) or 2.1 (54mm) sizes would be also be ideal....

cp

Yes, we want a 2.4 UST NOBBY

Yes, we want a 2.4 UST NOBBY NIC. Get with the program!

Tubeless and double defense.

The 2.4 option in the Nobby Nic and Racing Ralph is perfect, almost. You are definitely targeting the Enduro/Super D/Trail rider with these tires in these sizes. The only thing missing is more protection. Double Defense and Snakeskin should be an option for both. Most riders on 2.4" tires likely race/ride aggressively in rough terrain, justifying the 2.4 size and requiring more protection from the terrain. UST would also be excellent, in fact the additional thickness of a UST carcass would address the above concerns about protection.

The fact that you have this comment section says a lot about your interest in making an above average and cutting edge product.

Your website is a little clumsy in terms of navigation and finding information. Some of the tires you have listed have different part numbers with the same item descriptions????.

Thanks!

Nobby Nic

Would love to see a Nobby Nic in a 2.4 Sport wire bead.

Gooey Gluey

2.4". Wow. All I can say. Incrediby light tire that likes to corner, HARD. When will the 2.4 come in a Gooey Gluey? The nob spacing, pattern and height make it a great winter tire. Gooey Gluey would help with the grip on wet roots and rocks. The SnakeSkin sidewalls are perfect, add double defense and it would get an 11 out of 10. Thanks.

29er

Add a NN in the 29er line PLEASE!!!

A trend?

Schwalbe- you see the trend here, right? It would be silly to not develop a bigger-volume UST NN (2.35 true size would be fine; 2.4 even better). So we will be back to see the new offerings at Interbike and maybe be pleasantly surprised, yes? :)

More and Bigger UST Please!

I am a recent Maxxis convert and run a small shop. I previously ran the Minion 2.35 with the Free Ride casing. The Nobby Nic is as grippy but weighs over a pound less per pair. I want to put all my riders on your tires. The problem is the tubeless sizes are too small. Please offer a 2.4 or 2.5 UST Snakeskin EVO Nobby Nic.

I have sold a few Big Betty UST's but just prefer the Nobby Nic.

Thanks for the great rubber!

Nobby Nic EVO & Snakeskin in 2.25

Hey Schwalbe,

Are you going to carry the NN 2.25 in EVO and or Snakeskin?

love the n.n and the r.r do

love the n.n and the r.r do alot of racing but tired of spending money on buying new ones because of the side walls not lasting , quite annoying.

Gooey Gluey compound please!!!!

Many trials riders are looking for grippy but light front tire and Gooey Gluey compound would be a great combination with Big Betty GG in the rear!

UST 29'r tire

When are you guys going to come out with a UST 29" tire?

29er

Now that you have NN in kids size make it in big wheel size please!

fantastic tires

I've tried TONS of other tires on my XC bikes, and so far the Nobby Nic is where I'm staying. Conti, Hutchinson, Maxxis, and more I've tried and ended up here. The side knobs tear off a bit easy, but I guess that's the tradeoff you get for the grip. Thanks for the awesome tires.

UST WIDE 29s

I agree with the comment below, except for a 29" version. It is virtually impossible to find a wide, high volume 29" UST tire. That is a perfect setup for a full rigid 29" single speed over rough terrain. Would love to see a 29 x 2.4 UST with tread options.

Thanks...

Please make a 4 inch balloon

Please make a 4 inch balloon Nobnic tread to fit our pugslys!!!!!
we need we need.
I can be your tester.

Directional??

My Nobby Nics from last year tell me to mount them in opposite directions for front and rear. I just saw a mate's new bike and the nobby nic directional arrow was the same for front or rear mounting. Are Schwalbe now recommending running both tires in the front facing direction?

Tubeless

Your Out of all tubeless tires that I want. When will they be in?

True 2.4 or 2.5" Nobby Nic Please

Awesome Tires- they just need to be a bit bigger please!

Lots of sand + sharp rocks here so we need big volume and low pressures (22-25psi) to float on top of the sand but still have to be tough enough for the rocks.

Keep up the good work!

Does the 26x 2.25 fit as tubeless?

I have Scott genius-50 2009 with:
Schwalbe
Nobby Nic 26 x 2.25
50 EPI Kevlar Bead
Performance Serie

My questions are:
1) Which one from the above tires table is the one I actually have (mine is Black color)?
2) Can I turn my tire into tubeless?

Thanks,

UST is waaaay old school

Why is everyone clamoring for UST? Have you not heard of Stans notubes system? I am running regular Racing Ralphs on my cross country bike and regular Fat Alberts on my all mountain bike without tubes using Stans sealant system for 2 years with NO FLATS. A full pound lighter per wheel set than UST.

Nobby Nic Snakeskin Review

Loving these tires!

I'm running a 2.4 Snakeskin in the front, with a 2.25 Snakeskin in the rear, set up ghetto (no tube, stan's sealant) on UST rims.

Wow, amazing weight and rolling resistance for aggressive enduro/trail riding. High speed corning is amazing, as is low to moderate speed cornering when the bike is leaned way over. The intermediate knobs are spaced fairly widely, so at low speeds, with not much bike-lean (before you actually lean onto the cornering knobs), the bike drift predictably. These tire literally beg the rider to lean the bike more. Once you get the bike onto the cornering knobs, the bike hooks up like it's on rails. Super fun!

The Snakeskin sidewalls are shockingly stiff, but the EVO carcass gives great trail feel and low rolling resistance by being compliant under the knobs. These tires are unlike any tire I've ridden previously (with lots of experience riding various XC / Trail / All Mountain tire). Typically, to get stiff sidewalls, you have to have a stiff carcass making for a dead feeling tire, or soft sidewalls to get a compliant tread carcass. This Snakeskin combo is perfect. So far, no punctures or tears to the sidewalls with 100+ miles of aggressive riding in rock gardens. 22-26 lbs of air pressure seems just about right for these tires. Ordinarily I'd run 28-30 lbs for most mid-volume UST tires, but with these stiff sidewalls, that much pressure is simply too much. I'm 5'11" and 155lbs on a 150mm travel trail bike. Enjoy!

Change Front Rotation

These Nobby Nic's work better as a one direction rotation tire front and back. If you follow the front rotation direction on the tire it tends to plow. Use the rear rotation on the front tire and you will notice greater improvement going forward! The tire will stick in turns instead of plowing into turns. Mahalo.

2010 nobby nic

when will the 2010 model be available in canada?

NN UST Snakeskin 2.3

+1 for a true 2.3 NN Snakeskin UST

Red, White and Silver?

Where are the Nobby Nic HS 411 Red, White and Silver Tires? When can I order those?

White?

Is the white version(listed above) all white or is it the version with 2 white bands on either side of the tread section?

Kind regards,

Oli

stan's !

agreed... i have been running and racing the lightest and flimsiest of tires for years with O..that's ZERO! flats for years. i carry no spare tubes and tools and crap anymore... people wake up and dump those heavy ass ust tires... two ounces of stans will last like a year in your wheels... stan's rules- tubes are dumb so is ust

I would buy a set of those!

I would buy a set of those!

29er Nobby Nic

Yes please. 2.25" Nobby Nic. Snakeskin.

Awesome Tires!

THE best XC / AM tire I've put on my bike since the original Ritchey Mega Bite 20 yr. ago. These things accelerate quickly and get going so fast and then grip like mad, I'm really curious about Rocket Ron.... but scared of the thin walls. Rocket Ron Snake Skin?? Keep going you guys!.

Nobby Nics

The Nobby Nics are all Evolution tires (all sizes) and yes, we do have a 2.25 SnakeSkin version available.

2.4 nobby nic sport wire

I'd order a bunch of these, I think it would be a great addition to the line.

2.4 Nobby Nick 29er

I would love to see this tire! It would rule over the Nevegal and Rampage!

Bigger UST!

You need a bigger UST in this tire. I'd buy them right now!

Bigger UST

Agree the NN needs a UST 2.4 ASAP great tires but lack of UST options in 2.4 is frustrating
