Are these available on special order?

I just found out that these tires are legal for use during winter months here in MA. I would love a set of these for my scooter. I am planning on riding year-round.
Does anyone know the availability on these?

Iceman Spikes

I use the Iceman spikes each winter. They are hands down the best tire for winter I have ever used.
When will you have these in stock or can I special order this?
I need a 130/70/12 asap.

Thanks

Winter-specific tires pictogram

We have a new law in Quebec, Canada requiring that all vehicules be mounted with winter-specific tires. Such tires must have a snowy mountain pictogram appear on their skirt, as in this image

http://www.profilplus.fr/_uses/lib/4921/pneu_hiver.gif

The M+S inscription is not enough.

Does this pictogram appear on the ICEMAN tires?

I’d like to bump this

I'd like to bump this post. Law 55 has made many motorcyclists unhappy, we used to be able to go out in the middle of winter if we wanted to, for example after a few weeks of no snow so the roads become dry... If these tires were to get approved it would solve this problem, and they would be the only motorcycle tires currently available to do so. The only current tire option is to mount approved car tires on our bikes, but this makes the handling rather bad. Please get these tires approved, and make them in sizes for more bikes.

Safety

How safe are these in real life situations. I live in Chicago, we have some bad winter months. would you recommend using these or just putting the scoot away.

Safety is good

Hi, I live in Finland, and we also have some snowy months here. This tires are in my opinion the best choice for riding scooter at winter. Highly recommended!

What are the spikes made of?

and how long are they. are the spikes themselves replaceable like bicycle spike/studs are? ...
Thanks!

ICEMAN studs

For the ICEMAN scooter stud tires we use aluminum studs, type 8.8-11/1. The body of the stud is made from aluminum and the stud cores are made of wolfram-carbide steel. The stud core protrudes 1 mm from the body.

Vespa 50cc 11"

Hi,

I live in Finland and we have a long winter here. The front tire in Vespa is 11" and our reseller or anyone else doesn't have winter tires in 11".

Anyone have an idea where to get front tire with spikes?

Stella tires

Hi,

Will the 100/80 - 10 tire fit a stock Stella with split rim wheels (using tubes)?

Thanks.

You can use 100/80 10 on

You can use 100/80 10 on Stellas and PXs provided that you substitute the thin half of each rim by a half rim of the SS180/GS 160 Vespa.
You only need one of this rims and they are available at Scooterworks.

This rims will give you an extra 8mms of with to the assembly. At the same time they create enough space for the wider 100/80 tires so they don't scrubb on the engine's clutch cover.

Special Order for Burgman 400?

The Burgman 400 runs the following:

120/80 - 14 Front
150/70 - 13 Rear

I don't see these listed on your website, but does Schwalbe manufacture them?

Your previous replies have mentioned special orders. By special order, do you mean those tires that Schwalbe normally makes but you don't have in stock currently, or do you mean that Schwalbe will manufacture tires that it doesn't normally make...

Please advise.

David

How do i special order two 90/90-10 tires? And about how much?

winter tires for vespa et2

where can I get these studded tires? I live in Connecticut where we get alot of snow and ice. I need to use my vespa et2 this coming winter. Our eldest son started driving and we have only 2 cars for 3 drivers. that leaves me with my vespa as a 12 month commuter. please help

Son started driving...

I would strongly suggest he gets a job and buys himself a $500 clunker car for starter and you get to keep the car YOU paid for and commute with it. Hey, been there, done that an dI never blamed my dad for letting me by my first clunker car. I've learned a lot from that car. Some much good old memories !! LOL

Love these but..............

I have a Yamaha Vino 125. Guess that would be special order also. I wonder if the un-studded "Iceman" would do almost as well in my climate. West Virginia. In my part of the state we see some snow, a lot of rain, and a fair amount of icey roads in the winter. How would the studs preform on dry roads?
Glad to see a German mfg. coming into the US market bringing the top notch engineering. To bad the dollar is so weak. I want all your tires!
Thanks
Mike
