Tire pressure

What is the ideal air pressure for this tire? The tube says 85- 145 psi

The ideal pressure for this tire is close to the max of 145 PSI. This will ensure proper wear of the tire and sidewalls, as well as ensuring low rolling resistance.
120-130 PSI is an ideal pressure range.

Hi,i am suffering from spina bifida L3,L4 n L5 region,i have been on wheelchair for only less den 2 years n i dont know anything abt wheelchair tires.
My friend introduce to me the marathon plus n i wanna get it but i came to know u guys also have the evolution series..I dont know which 1 now to get...
May i know whats the difference btw the marathon plus n the evolution? Can u guys kindly provide me with me information? thx alot

YOu will need to advise as to whether your rims are 25-559 or 25-590 this will be on your tyres currently on your chair and they will fit if you order the same size as specified

Hi,

I ordered a set of those and I was wondering it the tubes I currently have will work. I have tubes that go in my ugly grey 75psi max tires. Will those tube support inflating to 145 psi?

NO! I tried it and my old 90 psi tubes could not support 145 psi. One of them failed in a few days. I installed the correct Schwalbe tubes and have not had a problem in over two years.

Mounting Direction

I can't see a 'direction' or 'drive' marker on the tire so I assume that the tread design is purely cosmetic and there are no advantages in either mounting direction?

Evolution

I'm a T-6 para and I put on my first set of Marathon tires last night for my Ti ZRA chair. I have gone through countless tires in sports and work (living out in the country..with gravel for punctures everywhere).. and these tires are bar none the best tire I have ever used and I've only been using them less than 24 hrs.
I won't use any other from here on out.
