The MARATHON is robust enough for every-day transport and dependable on longer journeys. The classic touring tire from SCHWALBE has both the resistance against punctures and durability that make it Europe’s most popular long distance tire.

I have two marathon 308 on my old 27 inches road bike, and what a pity they don’t make it in that size any more!
I commute everyday on hard city roads from march to november, and I started to get flats only after 4000 km.I must admit that the rear one is getting thin. Never rode such an incredibly sturdy tire that is also relatively fast. With IRC, PAnaracer, National and the like, 4 to 5 flats a year were an average. Only problem is the difficulty to get such good all around 27 inches tires these days. Is the marathon 368 in the same class for fast commuting?

Schwalbe Marathon HS 368 is the continuation of our successful and proven Marathon line. We have made improvements to the puncture belt, the rubber compound and also added a sidewall protection – it is the next generation MARATHON.

I bought a pair of Marathons 5 years ago…and NOT ONE FLAT SINCE. Still on the same pair. I ride about 4,000 km. in a good season, in Canada. I’d usually buy a pair of cheap tyres once a year, and I used get a flat AT LEAST once a week, usually either 12 miles from home, or 10 minutes before I was supposed to be somewhere important. That’s running them at 60 psi plus, all the time. I can’t say enough about them.

I ‘was’ one who only believed in Conti Top Touring tires: when these became obsolete in a 27”, I frantically searched for tires prior to a “Cross the State” ride. Found the Schwalbe site and they had 27” tires, Wow! Was I happy. Not knowing the performance purchased two for my ride. The trip was a success. No flats. The weather was wet, very wet. Rained 4 out of 5 days. The Marathon tires were so ‘great’, I never worried, even the lease bit, about loaded riding with the Marathons. Now have the same tires on both bikes, Cannondale Sit-On and my Tour Easy Recumbent. LOVE THESE TIRES.
