Rocket Ron HS 406

Every racers’ dream come true. This super light ‚Rocket’ answers almost every demand at one time: Incredible grip with extremely low weight and fully loaded with all the latest technology – 127-Evo-carcass, Triple Nano Compound, U-Blocks forming an open tread that has exceptional self-cleaning properties. The Countdown begins!

"This tire has awesome grip, both straight line and in curves. It works as well in wet conditions as it does in dry. The blocks are further apart than on the Racing Ralph, yet it runs just as well."

Note: This is an out and out competition tire! Puncture protection and durability are limited!

** PaceStar rubber compounds are the 2011 version tires

No durability at all, basically a <5 use tire...

When I was told limited durability, I was not expecting to have 2 tires puncture within 10 rides... I bought a set for racing. I had 3 rides on them. In my first race, I was on a downhilly section (open logging road), and a rock punctured the rear tire. Maybe it was a fluke. But then a week later on a ride, I was doing a rock roll (no drop, no shale, just a roll) and what do you know, the front tire punctured.. I run tubeless, so I'm not talking about pinch flats here. Was very frustrated after droping about $200(CDN) on tires that lasted under 10 rides.. It sucks because I did like the feel of the tire, but they do not withstand rocky anything.

Read the posted information above....

Note: This is an out and out competition tire! Puncture protection and durability are limited!

One last post

After a couple rides and a race on this tire, I'm amazed. I'm on the 26 X 2.4 on a trail/super d bike in loamy/clayey/rocky/rooty NW Washington conditions. Very versatile tire, great in many different conditions and FAST!!. Rolls very well, and has a very positive feeling knob engagement(read: grippy).

A sticky rubber version of this tire would make its already good wet weather performance even better(improved grip on roots and rocks).

My wish list for additional versions of this tire:

2.25: Snake Skin, Snake Skin Gooey Gluey, Tubeless Gooey Gluey
2.4: Snake Skin, Snake Skin Gooey Gluey, Tubeless, Tubeless Gooey Gluey

The tubeless casing would offer addtional protection if needed, depending on terrain.

These versions would cover year round weather conditions and courses/trails.

Thanks.

Photos not drawings

Just got a pair of the 2.4's. They look much better in person. Photos would go a long way towards giving a better representation of your products online. Photos please, no more drawings.

Thanks

Snake Skin

Why is there no Snake Skin option? Would be great in the 2.25 and 2.4.

29er UST 42 mm Please

700 x 42 in the Racing Ralph or the Rocket Ron .. Too many "Too fat 29er tires" already out there, but with 29ers doing well in XC racing, we need a 42 mm tire for dry fast courses .... 415 grams, UST and an a über duty side wall .... Or I'll have to run the Specialized S-Works Fast Trak LK, 29x2.0" ... Please don't force my hand!

White Rocket Ron

When will they be in stock to order?

From what I understand is

From what I understand is sometime in the middle of May. Please write to Schwalbe about producing these tires as a normal product. They are only producing them in a limited quantity.

Rocket Ron 29er 2.2 White????? How about it???

PLLLUUUZZZZEEEEEE!!!!!
Excellent looking tire, plus white, sick!

Rocket Ron 29er ??? It's time to get with the times!!!

It's 2010 and you still are not making a full line of 29er tires! At least give us one size to start with (2.0)!

How much demand do you need

How much demand do you need before you would supply?

Rocket Ron in white?

Any idea whether these will be available for public consumption, or were these made specially for Scott? All I know is that they are HOT.

White tyres

YES PLEASE!

white tyres

white mtb tyres are awesome...any plan for release in the market?

ORC?

What, exactly, is the ORC compound? Is the ORC compound tire high in weight, but also more durable? More rolling resistance?

Rocket Ron Snakeskin?

Any plans to make a snakeskin version of the Rocket Ron, specifically the 2.4 size? Thanks!

That would be awesome. No

That would be awesome. No sidewall issues so far with my 2.4's, but I can't help but worry about how long they'll hold up given the extreme light weight and high volume. Excellent tire in its current configuration, but a Snake Skin version might really expand the horizons of this tire (and riders for that matter).

rocket ron 29er

The demand is there , quit ignoring 29er revolution. please make us a 29 er in plenty of sizes 2.1-2.35

29er UST Rocket Ron????

Come on now guys and gals get it together. Do you want to dominate the market by offering the best UST 29er tire out there? Please please please make these soon in a 29er UST version. I had thought you did and my hopes were very high for the upcoming race season and then I was let down. What a bummer to have to turn to another manufacturer of a 29er UST. I run the Little Albert 29er currently but wanted to go lighter and faster and UST.

29er Size PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Would be rad to get these in 29" tires... They would dominate the all season scene. Currently have to switch to the Conti Mountain Kings for the winter since there is a lack of good knobbys for the winter in the 29er Schwalbe lineup...

???

Little Albert is good. My bro bought the Conti Kings and he does not like them one bit. Should of stuck with Schwalbe.

UST?

Waiting on the 2.25" UST version. Will it be available soon? (1/12/09)

29er

please tell me these will come in a 29er soon?

There are currently no plans

There are currently no plans to offer a 29er for 2009.

Rock Ron 29er for 2010

Is there a plan for production on this tire?

SoCal Mountain Biker

how about for 2010????....this would become your hottest selling 29er tire to date IF you made it no question!

29er

That's a bummer.
