Fat Albert Front

It is almost ten years ago that Fat Albert took mountain biking into a new era. It was the first
tire that provided both lightnessand large volume. Now there is a completely new Fat Albert.
Its core competences remain though: Large volume. Low weight. Strong SnakeSkin side wall.

FAT ALBERT FRONT. A new, special front only version is designed for safe handling and braking
grip. And with U-Blocks on the shoulders the Fat Albert Front tackles curves precisely.

The Tubeless version is particularly strong. A butyl layer covers the inside of the tire,
while on the outside SnakeSkin fabric covers the side walls.

Fat Albert. Front & Rear. The best combination for Alpencross.

Fat Albert

I love my Fat Albert! I have the front performance version and recently put it on my new Gary Fisher hifi pro. I set it up tubeless without any problems! Hooks up good in about any type of dirt!

29er, When?

This would make a great front tire on a 29'er. Any idea when it will become available?

Awesome!

I received a front and rear 2.4 set of these in Sept 2008... the front is every bit as good as the Big Betty on loose over hard pack and decomposed granite, with a weight savings of close to 200 grams. Rolling resistance may even be a little less. Amazing stopping power in so many conditions. Great All Mountain / Enduro tire for epic day rides. Very happy with mine! I may buy a 29'er when Schwalbe comes out with these in 29'er version.

29er version?

I know i'm not the only one wishing this were offered in a 29er version.

reply to 29er version

I understand your frustration but I'm sure that 29" wheels, tires etc. could become the norm in a about a year or 2

Sweet

Looks like a great rear tire as well......kind of new a N.N., but with a better rolling center tread patterm. Cant wait to try them.

FaT sAinT NiCk

If it kept this tread pattern and sidewall protection, but had the rolling resistance of a Nobby Nic, it would be one really sweet all mountain tire for 3 to 4 hour plus all day epic rides.
