Some like it slick. And there’s good reason. It’s not just the tread profile that provides solid road grip, but also the tread compound. So the MARATHON SLICK has two. The DUAL COMPOUND technology combines a tread that gives maximum grip and low rolling resistance with high mileage.
Reflective strips
If you ride at night you really want the reflective strips. If you don’t have them and you have disk specific rims, put a few patches of reflective tape on the rims.
Keep the reflective strip. If not wanted, use black felt marker
Please keep the reflective strips that immediately identify the object as a bicycle!
If someone does not want it for aesthetic reason, all they have to do is take a black felt tip permanent marker and mark out the stripe.
reflective strip
NO! don’t listen to them ,Keep the reflective strip on all present tires!! It’s has saved my life on several occasions and it’s a security blanket of sorts I feel . If you do nix the reflex it’ll be a bonehead move…
Reflective strips
I am about to pedal 5000km across Australia and have not considered any tyre that does not have the reflective strip, an absolute must. Should be mandatory for all on road tyres.
Marathon Slick
Is it possible to make Marathon Slick tires without reflective strip
I agree
I think they should have the option to have either a tire with or without a reflective stripe. Some of us have vintage bikes that don’t look right with a reflective stripe. Also, some of us never bike at night or ride only in the dirt.
